Winners at The SEAI Energy show

Over 4,200 visitors were welcomed to the SEAI Energy Show. The Show, which took place in the RDS on April 18th and 19th, showed the vibrancy of the energy sector and the pace of innovation, as new energy saving technologies come to the market.

Wilo Ireland and its Wilo Stratos-Maxo pump won the ‘Overall Product of Show Award’ and ‘Best Innovative Product’. The Dublin-based company specialises in intelligent energy efficient pumps and systems for residential, public and commercial properties. The Wilo Stratos-Maxo pump has a number of applications, including; underfloor heating, heating through radiators and ceiling cooling. It is a smart pump designed for system efficiency and user-friendliness.

The ‘Best Product of the Future’ award recognises pioneering concepts at prototype or development stage. This award went to EASi for their EWindow, an artificial 3D daylight system designed to mimic daylight, which has a positive impact on physical health and mood.

As more and more businesses advance in energy efficiency, many are looking to renewable energy solutions to further improve their sustainability credentials. Winner of the ‘Best Renewable Product’ was Mitsubishi Electric for its Ecodan CO2 Heat Pump which helps users to extract energy from outside to heat buildings.

In addition to the 150 exhibitors in the RDS, the Show featured; an extensive electric vehicle showcase, live retrofit demonstrations, an international markets pavilion, an energy industry pavilion, multiple networking events and an array of free briefings and workshops.
