Templederry Community Wind Farm counts students, farmers and a local priest amongst its shareholders. The group is now producing green electricity and selling it to the grid, producing approximately 15GWh per annum. This is enough to power 3,500 houses and the CO2 saved is equivalent to 3000 cars off the roads. — at Templederry Community Windfarm, Solaregy,Templemore, The Cottage, Loughmore.

We ended off the day with refreshments in The Cottage Loughmore, where Mary was on hand to tell us about the establishment of the Community Tea rooms & Shop. This is a great community initiative, established with the support of NTLP & The Plunkett Foundation.
